Erasmus+

Within the framework of the C-Evil project, a gap-filling e-learning curriculum has been created, which brings knowledge about electric vehicle charging stations into the vocational training. CAM Consulting Ltd. saw the future of transport in electromobility.

The professionals of the future are being born now

Interview with C-Evil project coordinator, Timea Baranyi.

What motivated the company to launch the project?

CAM Consulting Kft. had already been actively involved in the field of electromobility. Prior to the project, we researched how advanced electric mobility was in other countries, and as we became more familiar with it, we saw that the training materials were very limited. Generally, charger companies provide training for a fee to those who want to install their chargers, and other paid trainings are also available, mostly in English. We believe that electromobility will be an indispensable factor in the future of transport. However, for electric cars to spread, charger infrastructure is needed, and trained professionals are also necessary to build and operate it. In the Erasmus+ project, we teamed up with partners with whom we were able to realize all our ideas.

How did you find the Erasmus+ opportunities?

As partners, we had been involved in Erasmus+ projects before, so we already had had experience. With the C-Evil project, we wanted to try ourselves as coordinators. We chose Erasmus+ because we were thinking of a training project, and our international partners could complement our existing knowledge.

Which countries and which partners did you work with?

A university from Turkey joined us, and we worked with them to create the knowledge material part of the training. In addition, three schools from Hungary, Romania and Spain participated in the project. There was a Dutch educational centre, they helped to develop the methodology of the training material. In addition, there was a Greek organization that helped the project with platform development, and finally, a Slovak chamber of commerce joined in, who represented the market side and provided useful insights supporting the project results.

What project product was created during the joint work?

We developed a 4-module e-learning curriculum designed to be used in classrooms or distance learning. Each module was accompanied by a series of tests to test the students’ test knowledge, and there are other resources such as country sheets showing partner countries in terms of electromobility and especially its regulation. All this can be found and downloaded on an easy-to-use online platform.

How did the partnership itself work; what activities were carried out?

In the C-Evil project, on the one hand, we worked on the intellectual products, we also had events as part of the dissemination activities, and we organized partner meetings as part of the project management. We also planned a joint learning training, which was carried out virtually due to the pandemic.

What was the most memorable moment of the project?

I would highlight the partner meeting that we were able to hold in person in the last month of implementation. This meeting gave a big boost, a strong motivation to the whole partnership for the final run. It was a good feeling to meet the people in person we worked with during the project.

Looking at the aftermath of the project, what changes have you noticed within the organization?

Thanks to the Erasmus+ project, we have gained a lot of experience in project management and coordination. We learned a lot about managing change and adapt to new situations. We are still in contact with our partners from that time.

Are you planning to implement an Erasmus+ project in the future?

Yes, we definitely wish to continue our Erasmus+ career, we already have two projects in the adult learning sector.

What does winning the Excellence Award mean to you?

It is an immense pleasure, recognition, and honour. This project was the first we implemented as coordinators, and until we received our high scores, I had no idea what we had created. However, I felt that the quality of the project products produced was excellent, as our partners also did their best to make it a success.
